Compared to last month: Alfalfa small squares unevenly steady per bale and per ton with higher undertones noted on premium small squares per ton. Alfalfa large squares mostly 30.00 to 40.00 higher per bale, 40.00 to 50.00 higher per ton. Grass small squares mostly steady per bale, 30.00 to 40.00 higher per ton. Grass large squares mostly 20.00 higher per bale and per ton. Today's offerings consisted mostly of good to premium qualities with a larger representation of small squares. Market activity was moderate to good with very good demand noted for premium quality hay. The next hay sale will be February 27, 2010.
